"I seek peace. I believe that everyone, especially the dislocated population here – deserves long lasting peace. Unfortunately, the people here have undergone great suffering and I share in their sorrow. Now, it is most important that the dislocated people can quickly return to normal life."
The European Union Ambassador to Israel, Mr. Dimitris Tsantchev, visited the Dead Sea last weekend and met with dislocated people from the south and north boarders. During his visit, the ambassador toured the "HaShachar" facility of Yeladenu in the Dead Sea.
The ambassador learned about the therapeutic and educational activities that the youth and children undergo at the facility, and participated with them in the "Wishing Shell" activity, where he wrote his wish in Hebrew: "May there be peace, with the help of God."
The visit of the EU Ambassador emphasizes the international importance of supporting children and youth affected by conflict. We thank him for his support and commitment, and join in his prayers for a swift return to normalcy for the children of the south and north.
